TASTES GOOD. There's no bitter aftertaste. It's ground into a fine powder so it mixes well with juice, smoothies, yogurt and my morning oatmeal. I indulge my inner child with a tasty Doctor Seuss treat of green scrambled eggs! It comes in a resealable package so it doesn't hog space as I use it up. I recommend you store it in your refrigerator or freezer to keep it fresh longer.
GOOD FOR YOUR PETS. My holistic Veterinarian recommends adding Barley Grass Powder to cat's and dog's meals...1/4 teaspoon into kitty's wet food (2x/day) and 1-2 tablespoons into dog food/dampened kibble for a 65lb dog (2x/day). No problems, even with the most finicky eaters.
I also bought Starwest Botanicals Organic Wheat Grass Powder(another great product). Starwest also sells Organic Spirulina Powder (available from other websites).
I can't possibly eat all the greens every day that holistic nutritionists say I should, so I mix 1/2 teaspoon Barley Grass Powder + 1/2 teaspoon Wheat Grass Powder + 1/2 teaspoon Spirulina powder into a fruit and non-fat yogurt smoothie, and add some organic honey. Easy. Delicious. Highly nutritious.
GOOD FOR YOUR COMPLEXION. Skin food for a clear, smooth complexion...Blend 1 tablespoon of Barley Grass Powder in about 1/4 C yogurt. Spread mixture evenly over your entire face, except your eyelids. Lie down, place two slices of fresh cucumber on your eyelids. Love yourself.
